  1. This car in fact had two lives, it was destroyed in 1967 and the chassis no was allocated to Peter Sadler when he bought a new tub from JW, Sadler rebuilt the car and he and I shared it through 1968.

In 69 we swapped cars I gave him my car 1013 which he swapped for an aeroplane, I continued to race it until late 69 when I sold it to Trevor Graham, and I subsequently raced it for him at Vila Real in 1970.

  2. Hi Rob i have alot of information on the Ford GT40 chassis no P/1010 and great pictures as my dad was the late Mr Trevor Graham whom owned this car from 1969. Dad had it on the road and pulled in for fuel on the A1 with mum coming back from Peterborough in the 70s the police pulled up and said they could not catch him but just wanted to look under the engine because they could not believe how fast the car was. Piers weld Forrester, Andrew Hedges, Willie Green, Julian Gerrrard all raced the GT40. The two mechanics were Frank and Wol Perrott from 4 Shaftsbury Road Leicester, we have a bill from them to tow car to garage and do repairs to remove gear box etc etc for 33 pounds and 10 shillings ! I would love to let Adrian Newey know these details and if any ones interested or has further details contact me. Deborah Graham 07966139441, Thanks

      1. Sorry to but in, I remember seeing just one small photo slide of my uncles’ GT.
        Hi. Debs.
        Matt.

    2. Hi Debbie,
I had one of the most enjoyable weeks of my life with your dad at Montlhery back in 1970, I don’t think I stopped laughing all the time there and back. he was a great guy and I still miss him. Say hi to your Mum and Tim.
      Paul

  3. Here is some footage shot on 8mm of Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. Is it possible this is footage of P/1010 from its race there in Sept ’65…? 1:03 is when the car comes by for a few brief seconds.

  4. Just read the previous responses on this and saw Frank and Wol Perrott came up. These are my grandparent and uncle. Both of which did work with the car in the 70’s and my dad (David Perrott) was once a passenger to the specific gt40 chassis 1010.
